Raising your Spirited Child by Mary Sheedy Kurcinka is an excellent book on temperaments and managing a family with a lot of varying temperaments. Another one by her, Kids, Parents and Power Struggles can help diffuse angry situations before they get too volatile.

Mean Soup is a fun kids book about managing anger after a bad day. Another classic is Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst.
